This may be a Tekke small pouch. I see “Tekke” in the embroidery… an old Indian cotton textile make up the back. A rare artefact, possibly a book cover – The Koran..? I am not sure how devout the various Turkmen tribes were, but maybe you know – tell me! Mid 19th C..?
