Here’s the absolutely perfect auctioneer’s attribution and other information: “Late 18th, early 19th century Algerian cotton embroidered floral rectangle in reds and blues 86 x 46cm and an Algerian fragment with conservation netting 32cm x 38cm Provenance: ‘More Stitches’, From an important collection of Historical textiles. Floral rectangle formed of two strips of cloth stitched together. Some minor wear to embroidery, mainly to black outline and blue border. One historic repair 1 x 2 cm and multiple small holes, largest 1 cm across. Algerian fragment now on conservation backing. Multiple areas of wear to linen background, embroidery good condition.”
