Prayer rug, Anatolia, suggested Denizli-Ushak area. A rug that caught my eye because of the few colours! So simply beautiful… I love its calm presence… the use of blue here and there, brilliant… add to that the wool, the softest you can imagine… It is old, around 1800 a rugfriend suggested (though auctioneer said 1850 – does it matter?)
