Possibly a Koran cover. I fell for its whimsical pattern and the fact it was block print on SILK! A happy little piece! Seller suggested Deccan region, India, around 1900. I cannot argue with that… Though it ignited a spark… it resembled the fine handkerchiefs made for the English market in the early 19 C… maybe made into a book cover later in life..?
